Rory will be the Grants Acquisition Officer assisting Director Madeleine Hosli with new project proposals on behalf of UNU-CRIS until the end of this year. He is responsible for attracting additional funding and talent to UNU-CRIS to help grow and strengthen the Institute overall.
After completing a Bachelor of Arts (BA) in History at Durham University, Rory went on to hold several different management roles in the retail sector before deciding to return to university, obtaining a Master’s degree in International Relations (cum laude) from Leiden University. During his time at Leiden, Rory co-founded and subsequently became a lead editor and contributor for a new student-run online journal, the Leiden International Review. Rory initially joined UNU-CRIS as an intern in August 2017.
We hope that Rory Johnson will have a productive and inspiring period at UNU-CRIS.
